50 West Vineyards
In 2015, Mike and Diane Canney purchased Leaves of Grass and changed the name to 50 West Vineyards. The Canneys also managed Sunset Hills Vineyard, where the 50 West wines are actually produced. In June 2022, the Canneys sold both Sunset Hills and 50 West wineries to Chris and Katie Key, who met at a California wine tasting event. ​​​​​

​They grow three grapes on premise: Cabernet Sauvignon, Albarino, and Sauvignon Blanc, and procures wines from sister winery, Sunset Hills Vineyard and 5 properties in Northern Virginia and Shenandoah Valley. 50 West strives to produce classic Bourdeaux style red and white wines.
